As a software developer who loves to write small projects using the the Java programming language, I was really excited when I got the idea to create a project involving Kagoshima Prefecture. I've always been interested in Japan and getting to explore a different region through my code gave me the perfect opportunity to learn more.
Throughout my project, I've been able to call APIs, build graphical interfaces, create custom data classes, use conditional statements, and understand libraries, among other things. Although I'm no stranger to coding, this project was very novel for me, so I found the challenge very stimulating. Not to mention the vivid scenes of Kagoshima I'm able to paint with the data I'm getting from various platforms.
Unfortunately, the price I have to pay for getting to explore such an exciting project is the pain of my carpal tunnel.
